What it means to volunteer

Informed consent and your rights

Clinical trials are studies where volunteers are needed to test the effectiveness of investigational drugs, devices or other treatments that may then be approved for general use. Our physicians help recruit patients to learn more about certain medical conditions and the usefulness of investigational treatments.

Everyone who takes part in a study must meet that study's requirements and be willing to sign an informed consent. Informed consent is voluntary agreement, given by you (or a responsible proxy), after you have been told the methods, procedures, risks and benefits of taking part. Consent must be given freely and without undue influence, and you have the right to withdraw from the study at any time.

Please note: all of our studies require face-to-face visits with our staff, so we are looking for volunteers who live near our site in Lake Worth, FL.
