What Is High Blood Pressure?
High blood pressure, or hypertension, occurs when the force of blood against your artery walls is consistently too high. Over time, this condition can lead to serious health problems, including heart disease, stroke, and other complications. Managing high blood pressure is essential for long-term health, and research studies like ours play a crucial role in discovering better treatments.
Who Can Participate in This Study?
You may qualify for our high blood pressure research study if you meet the following criteria:

You are a man or woman aged 18 years or older

You have mild to moderately high blood pressure
-
You are currently taking 0 or 1 blood pressure lowering medication
-
You do NOT have kidney disease, liver disease, or uncontrolled diabetes
(Uncontrolled diabetes means your blood sugar levels are not within the ideal range despite using medication) -
You do NOT have a history of cardiovascular disease
(Examples include unstable angina, heart attack, or stroke) -
You do NOT have a current infection or related illness

You are able to attend 3 trial visits at our Lake Worth research site over approximately 6 weeks
(Each visit will take about 1–2 hours)
