Located in Lake Worth, FL, and Laurel, MS, Altus Clinical Research is dedicated to improving personal health through innovative clinical trials. Our current study focuses on exploring new treatments for women experiencing symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
What Are UTIs?
Urinary tract infections occur when bacteria invade the urinary system, leading to symptoms such as frequent or urgent urination, burning sensations while urinating, and discomfort in the lower abdomen. These infections can be disruptive and often require timely treatment to prevent complications.
Why Do UTIs Happen?
UTIs are most commonly caused by bacteria entering the urinary tract. Factors such as hygiene habits, sexual activity, and anatomical differences can increase the risk of infection. While many UTIs are straightforward to treat, recurrent or antibiotic-resistant cases present additional challenges that require innovative solutions.
